Karen H. Horan - President & Account Executive

Karen founded CBG, Inc. in 1995, after working as an account executive on the property/casualty side of employer benefits for 8 years.  Karen was a partner for Capital Insurance Group for 2 years, and prior to this, worked as an account executive for Liberty Mutual in Southern CA, and Rockville, MD.  In 1995, as the health insurance market became more complex with multiple carriers and products entering the Central PA market, Karen launched Capital Benefits Group, Inc., focusing exclusively on the employee benefits side.

Karen has a BS degree in business/communications from Juniata College.

As Account Executive Karen is responsible to provide benefit solutions across all lines of business to CBG clients.

Tim Horan - Financial Analysis and Reporting

Tim joined CBG, Inc. in 2005.  Prior to this, Tim held a wide range of financial and analytical positions over a fifteen year period while employed at Penn National Insurance, Highmark, and United Concordia.  During this time, Tim held positions that included cost management, claims analysis, and forecasting.  Tim also managed a Reporting and Analysis department which provided detailed analytical reporting to mid and large market clients of United Concordia.

Tim holds a BS degree in business  from Shippensburg University, and a MBA  degree from Lebanon Valley College.

As a Financial Analyst, Tim is responsible for providing analytical support to the Account Executives, which includes claims and enrollment reporting as well as renewal analysis to CBG clients.
